Bio
I am a board-certified physician assistant with over 15 years of experience in medical oncology and physician assistant education. A first-generation college graduate from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, I earned my B.S. in Biology with a minor in Music from Providence College in 2005 and worked as a certified nursing assistant at Rhode Island Hospital before completing my PA training at Philadelphia University in 2009. I have served in both community and academic oncology settings and was a full-time assistant professor at Thomas Jefferson University, where I remain on the instructional faculty. I spent many years advising both pre-PA and PA students, offering mentorship and guidance through every stage of their professional journey.
I currently practice at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association in medical oncology and lecture for regional PA programs and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA).
In addition to my clinical work, I am dedicated to holistic well-being through practices of meditation, yoga, hiking, spiritual disciplines, painting, and music. I am a board member of The Painting Experience nonprofit organization.
I believe deeply in the potential for PAs to live a life of joy and purpose in medicine, even within the current strained American healthcare system.
